Christine M. King, BVSc,
MACVSc, MVetClinStud is an Australian veterinarian who spent
several years in equine practice in Australia before moving to the
United States. She completed a Masters degree in equine exercise
physiology at the University of Sydney. She is currently working
as a veterinary writer.

Richard A. Mansmann, VMD,
PhD earned his PhD in comparative pathology from the University
of California at Davis. He has written and edited several books
and journal articles, and served on the editorial board of the
Journal of Equine Veterinary Science. He is involved with equine
rescue and humane organizations and believes strongly in owner education.
His veterinary practice focuses on foot conditions, respiratory
conditions, chronic ailments in sporthorses, and older horse care.
